This policy covers the EvenStep iPhone app and this informational website. EvenStep reads existing walking records from Apple Health on your device so you can review daily asymmetry and historical trends without creating an account.
What the app reads from Apple Health
With your permission, EvenStep requests read-only access to four Apple Health quantity types: walking asymmetry percentage, walking speed, walking step length (used internally alongside speed to derive cadence and reference context; step length is not shown as its own panel), and walking double support percentage. When supporting samples are absent, the interface may show reference default values for speed, cadence, or ground contact. EvenStep never writes or modifies Apple Health data.
On-device cache and removal
Computed daily summaries are cached locally inside the app’s container on your iPhone so views load quickly offline. There is no in-app Clear History button. Deleting the EvenStep app removes its local cache from your phone while leaving your original records untouched in Apple Health.
Health records, sharing, and network requests
EvenStep has no user accounts, no developer-operated health servers, and never uploads your Apple Health records to the developer. Summary share card images are exported only when you actively choose to save or send them. If you choose to send feedback, the app prepares an editable draft with basic technical details and no Health readings attached, so you can review, edit, and decide whether to send it. When you buy, restore, or verify EvenStep Pro, iOS communicates transaction details with Apple via StoreKit; Health records are never used for billing or sent to Apple as part of a purchase. System services such as Apple Health and iCloud are governed by Apple’s own policies.
Purchases and StoreKit
EvenStep Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple’s StoreKit framework. Payment and entitlement verification are processed by Apple under your device’s Apple account; EvenStep only checks whether the Pro entitlement is active and never receives your payment card details or personal Apple ID profile.
No analytics, ads, or health data sales
The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs, no behavioral analytics trackers, and no crash-reporting services that collect Health information. Your Health data is never sold or used for advertising.
Website scope and children
EvenStep is a general personal reference tool not directed at children and does not automatically collect personal information; if you contact us voluntarily by email, we receive only the address and message you choose to send. This website consists of static pages without analytics scripts or external web fonts, while standard connection logs are handled according to the hosting provider’s policy.
